I've just now stumbled upon this series of books while browsing the iBooks (never even heard of it before) Now about 2 weeks later I've just finished the second book. I'm hooked.

I don't know who most of the people you picked are, or even most of the characters. I assume they'll have major roles as i get further in the story, but i was thinking the other day that if they made a movie Tom Welling would make a pretty good Rand.

So i obviously have no end-game theories at this point, but i've still got a few million words to read before i'm caught up.
